Found a great site that has numberous free plug-ins (VST's that can be used in your DAW software - I use Sonar 6 although Sonar 7 just came out). The plug-ins are both instruments and effects... Makes me want to download them all and check them out with a new recording...

What is a VST? What is a DAW?
ReplyDeleteVST = Virtual Studio Technology and it gives you effects (like reverb or chorus or vocal tuning) or virtual instruments (drums, bass, piano, whatever)via a plug-in through your recording software.
ReplyDeleteDAW = Digital Audio Workstation (basically a computer with a decent sound card for audio input and recording studio software).
