Okay, so it's not Radio Radio (as Elvis Costello would sing), but I did get picked up for LEN AMSTERDAM'S CANUCK RADIO station on Soundclick... (thank you Len!)
It's kinda cool to think that somebody's rifling through your work on a site like My Soundclick Site (and every month I check out page hits and song plays and am happy to see that a few dozen people have played some of my tunes)...
Plus, sometimes this (songwriting fantasy) is a welcome distraction to all that is not going so well in my life... the trick is to not let it be a distraction that takes me away from all that's right...
Ci vedimes...

Radio 3 CBC
SAC, FACTOR plus more...
Well, I'm back... I went on vacation with the family and I'm just getting back into the swing of things... At the last Date with a Demo, there was mention of FACTOR (the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Recordings), a government-sponsored program that provides funding to artists, including songwriters. So, I applied before I went on vacation (deadline was April 30) for a songwriter's grant to have a demo produced... I don't know when I'll find out if I was accepted. Incidentally, it's a good thing I joined up with SOCAN as that appears to be a prerequisite for the FACTOR Demo grant.
Speaking of SOCAN, I came across this interesting article for those of us who post music online: Know Your Rights When Posting Your Music Online. Just thought I'd share that link...
As for SAC, I come back and it finally has it's on-line community available to its members. I've posted a pic and one song and I'll be dabbling in it, although there's no activity in the Forums just yet and few (read only 4!) members even posting a profile from Toronto... so if you're reading this, sign up at SAC!
Finally, along the lines of Original Sundays, I've found a similar sort of event funded by SAC - the Songwriters Expo. I'll be looking into that more to see if I can get some material out there...
